Liam Niko Photography

Hey y’all, I’m liam

I grew up in the foothills of North Carolina, but now I live in the Boone, NC area with my wife and three dogs. I’m a U.S. Air Force veteran with a passion for photography. By day, I work as a psychotherapist/social worker, and find photography to be an excellent form of self care.

October 2nd, 2024 update-

Hey y’all,

I feel incredibly fortunate that my family and home are safe following Hurricane Helene. Last night, our power was restored, and we’re beginning to connect with local initiatives to support our community. While the loss and damage around us is heartbreaking, I’m filled with hope as I witness the remarkable outpouring of care, support, and Appalachian resilience. As many of you know, I am a psychotherapist/social worker by day, and I have been reflecting on how I can contribute to local recovery efforts in a variety of ways. As a photographer in Western North Carolina, this region has gifted me with so many beautiful images. I would like to share these images with those interested as a way to raise funds for recovery efforts. Until November 1, 2024, I will be offering 8x10 prints from WNC on my website, with 100% of the profits going directly to local organizations that are providing essential aid now and will continue to do so in the future (I will keep adding new print options as I am able to do so). If you are local to the high country area and would like to get a print directly from me without shipping, email me at liamnikophoto@gmail.com. ALL funds raised will support:

Take care, kindred!
